CINEMA AUDIO DESCRIPTION SURVEY:
Complete the survey below to enter a draw for FREE CINEMA PASSES!
Cinema audio description is a fantastic service for visually impaired people. The normal film soundtrack comes through the cinemas surround sound speakers in the usual way, and a recorded narrator explains what's happening on screen - in gaps in the dialogue - through personal, wireless headphones. It's similar to listening to a cricket or football match on the radio - having the action described to you - but with added surround sound, which places you in the middle of the action.
Most popular cinema releases are now available with audio description 'files'. Over 180 UK cinemas have facilities to 'read' these files, and screen audio described shows. There are around 3,000 shows around the UK every week - a 37% increase on last year.
To help us collect data and continue to spread awareness of cinema audio description, please take a minute or two to complete the survey below. Completed entries will be entered into a draw, with a prize of two free cinema passes to any Vue, Odeon or UCI cinema. There are 30 sets of two passes up for grabs. Winners will be drawn at the end of July and notified by email or phone, so please leave a contact detail in the relevant box.
Thank you and good luck!
